Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The female murder victim in this episode, Joanna "Kandy" Kelton, is not a stripper but a mud wrestler; Mac's reference to Joanna's being a stripper was probably left over from an earlier draft of the script. more

'Second' Story Outshines First, 6 November 2006
9/10
Author: ccthemovieman-1 from Lockport, NY, United States

A stripper named Kandy, yes-with a 'K," is found dead sprawled out on a big (and scorching) searchlight in an alley next to the club. An unknown customer who got a little rough with her is the prime suspect but no one knows who he is. The victim also was socially involved with the owner and the previously another woman, etc. (This is a bit kinky.) Mac, Lyndsay and Sheldon investigate.

The second story has a billionaire recluse found dead in his penthouse. Somebody sliced his neck, but few people had access to this highly-guarded Howard Hughes-type edifice. Danny, Stella and Flack are on the case. Making it more complicated is that the room in which the victim was killed and is lying there in a pool of blood is a "panic room," and Danny accidentally closes the door. He can't get out for 13 hours when the security owner can cut the door away. He has to improvise to examine the body before decay starts setting in. How he performs some tests is very interesting.

This secondary story turns out to be better - and gets more air time - than the first one, which is unusual. There's actually shootout at the end, which also is unusual for a CSI show.

It's another strong episode.
