Quotes

[Don walks up to Stella and randomly says... ]
Det. Don Flack: "I've slept with a lot of women. Some wild, some crazy, some both."
[Stella gives him a puzzled look]
Det. Stella Bonasera: Excuse me?
Det. Don Flack: Carlo's words. Not mine.
Det. Stella Bonasera: Ah.
Det. Don Flack: Shoulda swung by the hospital to meet this guy. He's a piece of work. He calls himself the new American playboy. "Lives, drinks, and breathes women." Again, his words. So that in mind, as far as jealous exes go, lot of 'em.

Second Story Outshined First
15 November 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The place: a swanky penthouse-type place. The event: an art reception. The crime: some stud is getting it on with big-chested woman outside the party when an arrow comes out of nowhere and pins both of them to the wall, killing her. Mac, Stella and Don try to figure out what happened and who was the target: he or she?

Story two: a man is found on the ground in front of a music store with his face covered with glue, making a mask of it. He's dead. It turns out this is some "turf war" between guys who plaster up all those posters you see on walls and buildings and windows, promoting rock groups. Danny and Lyndsay try to figure how how the main was killed and who did it.

Here's a case where the second story, usually given less play, was better than the first story. That shouldn't have been as the first had better possibilities.
