No Joke - A Sad, Haunting Tale, 18 December 2009
9/10
Author: ccthemovieman-1 from Lockport, NY, United States

This was a memorable episode, a sad story. It has a cool opening scene in which a dressed-up skeleton is discovered sitting in the rear on top of a Times Square Tour Bus! Immediately, Stella offers a joke up about how this must be "a long tour ride" to Mac, who doesn't laugh. He needs to loosen up a little. Still, it turns out not to be a joke because the skull is real, not something from a practical joke shop.

The more they learn about who that person might be, the more sad this story becomes. The color of the skull is the first indicator. By the way, did you know - as this episode points out - what color our bones turn after we are dead for awhile. The answer is "brown." This guy's skull was black......so what made it turn that color? In a nutshell, it's the story of runaways, kids winding up being lost in the big city.

I've always remembered this episode, so you know it's a haunting one. The most memorable scenes are those of the missing boy's parents. The looks on their faces would haunt anyone. Sad, indeed.
