Trivia
The term "Sympathetic Discharge" was coined by a custom bullet maker in southern NJ named Andrew Hill. He was contracted by S&W to make bullets for their new 500 hand gun. Original prototypes were made with pistol primers. The recoil was so severe it would occasionally cause the anvil to shift and discharge an additional round. This problem was corrected by using rifle primers instead. The makers of CSI adapted the concept to one of their plots.
