"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" The Execution of Catherine Willows (TV Episode 2002) Poster

Factual errors

When anyone (man or woman) is to be executed, the prison warden is in constant contact with the Governers office and State Supreme Court. This is to make sure that if there are any grounds for the execution not to proceed, it is stopped before the death sentence is carried out. In almost all cases, any halt is called hours if not days before an execution is to happen. A halt has never been called at the last second.
