Storyline

Grissom, Catherine and Nick investigate a car bomb which resulted in the deaths of three people, one of whom was an air marshal who rented the car. Due to the imprecision of the detonator, the CSIs conclude that the target may not have been the air marshal, but the person who had previously rented the car. The man is a mystery himself, as he seems to be leading a double life. In town, Sara and Warrick work on the death of Amelia, the wife of Myles Reuben, a famous singer. His wife was found in her hotel's bathtub while Myles was performing downstairs. Written by Ploy P.

Sara Sidle (played by Jorja Fox) says "I'll take the west wing" when conducting a search, a reference to Fox's recurring role as Secret Service agent Gina Toscano on The West Wing (1999). See more »

Goofs

Miles Rueben's biggest hit was 'Amelia', inspired by his wife Amelia. yet in the flashback showing how he met her, he picked her out of the audience at a gig and sang the same song to her. (Proved by the song he sang at the end of the show was also Amelia, it had the same lyrics as the one in the flashback), so how did he sing a song he hadn't wrote yet to his future wife? See more »

Quotes

Warrick Brown: Checking glassware for spots?
Greg Sanders: [examining a wine glass] You know, a hot tub is just like a dishwasher. Washes away all of the impurities.
Warrick Brown: Including hydrofluoric acid, huh?
Greg Sanders: [speaking in a French accent and showing Warrick a sample jar of wine] '93 Pinot. Either it was a bad year for wine or a bad year for Amelia. I found trace amounts of hydrofluoric acid in the vino.
Warrick Brown: So, somebody did spike the wine?
Greg Sanders: Oui.

Don't fiddle with your class work

I must confess, that i am a real fan of CSI, since it aired in Germany and even bought the original DVDs to watch with captions for the hearing impaired to see all the wonderful terms like the blunt forced trauma and more. This episode again has special implications, what looks like a terror attack on an Air Marshal ends up as a .... Gil Grissom as dominating as he was in the early seasons unties the story in his regular manner. And everything works out with the inherent logic, that CSI has made a favorite for me, my all time favorite being "Fur and Loathing in Las Vegas". But that is another story.

Have fun.
