Two masked men show up at a house and kill the husband and wife execution-style with two bullets at the back of the head. The man's body is then dragged from the fairly secluded driveway towards the street, a fact that greatly puzzles Gil Grissom. The couple lived at a very good and secured community with only two entrances, the main gate to the whole complex, and a personal back gate. Written by Ploy P.

This episode was based on the murders of American off-road racing legend Mickey Thompson and his wife Trudy who were murdered March 16, 1988 by two gunmen outside their home in Bradbury, California. Very decent crime drama.

Decent CSI episode Would rather watch this than any NCIS/CSI Miami/NY etcetc. But not a classic

Good points are the imagination the CSIs need to recreate why things happened the way they did. An example is that by imagining the killers dragging a body out behind a shed, and putting it together with another thing they've spotted, they figure out what the killers were doing and why.

Other points, Grissom says "I got a dead guy" at one stage, as if he's been given candy. Some hilarious flirting occurs between Catherine and a pants-on-fire (in several senses) club owner. The writers have previously notified you of what's coming when Catherine has a work- appraisal with Grissom and complains that she hasn't had intercourse "for 6.. no 7 months!!"

Grissom takes his glasses off, nonplussed, and replies "Catherine...How can I help you?"

My usual disclaimer: I've watched these episodes 4 or 5 times, so this isn't a first impression.
