While analyzing blood spatter, Warrick and Sara have an electronic device that calculates where the blood came from for them. However, the device they are using says, "Blood Splatter" on it rather than "Blood Spatter". This is a common mistake made often by those who aren't familiar with criminal investigation. See more »

Average for CSI, better than most TV crime fare though

By CSI Vegas standards this episode is a little bit run of the mill. But if you've never watched CSI before, this will do the job! I've seen all the first 8 seasons a few times now :S

One seriously horrible crime. One silly accident. Nick gets a rather funny final line, but then you're left to contemplate the horror of what happened to the teenage boy. As you occasionally do with CSI, I wondered how far this was based on a real case, and I really hope not very far...

A very mild spoiler is that there is one of their chilling teenage girls that CSI sometimes throws at us.
