After a massive shootout between the LVPD and a Latin American mob gang, the CSI team have to find and process hundreds of bullets to determine exactly what happened.
The episode opens with a high-speed chase involving many cars. During the chaos, one of the police officers is shot and killed by another police officer. Brass and Sofia worry over who is responsible. Meanwhile, the CSIs have a crime scene spreading over many blocks, with hundreds of bullets scattered all around, to process.—Ploy P.
Capt. Brass and Sofia are on pursuit with other police cars of a car with suspects and the criminals shoots at the police offices with automatic weapons. When their car overturns, there is an intense shootout and in the end, three criminals and the police officer Daniel Bell are killed. The police officers also find a teenage student shot in the back a few blocks away and his bicycle missing. With the hostile population of the poor neighborhood lying to the press saying that the police officers executed the suspects and the father of the wounded teenager pressing the police, the CSI team needs to investigate a long area and retrieve several bullets to prove the truth.
