Rehashed Story lines And Capitalizing On Estrada's Looks
11 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In Tight Fit,Ponch works as a part-time model in a jeans company. But later,he realizes that being a CHP Officer is a more rewarding job than that of his part-time job.

Later on patrol,Ponch and Bobby catches someone, who is suspected of a diamond thief. But back on the CHP Central, both realizes that the the insurance company never heard from the guy whose car went off the cliff. When they go to investigate the accident, they find the wrecked car is gone. They figure out where the car went and find the thieves there.

Then later on patrol, they stop a truck with a woman giving birth in the back. Ponch delivers the baby as Bobby watches. When the paramedics arrive, Ponch and Bobby ride off.

Later, they arrive at the photo studio and try to arrest the photographer for child pornography. He runs off and escapes in a van with Ponch's picture on the side. Ponch and Bobby chase after him and arrest him.

The episode consist of a lot of plot that could be somewhat confusing to the viewer.I think that this contribution to the cancellation of the show the next season. Also, previous story lines that have been rehashed in it from the past seasons such as CHP officers helping a woman give birth. Also, the show tries to capitalizes on Erik Estrada's sex appeal especially in the part when he tries to work as a part-time model but to no avail.Definitely,CHiPs is a "Jon And Ponch" show and not a "Ponch only" show.
