Ponch Solves A Crime
1 August 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In Hot Wheels,Ponch remains in the hospital while recuperating from an accident that happened from the previous episode.Off camera,I think that Erik Estrada, who plays Ponch, suffered from a real life accident while shooting for an episode of the said TV show.

Jon and a former partner investigate several thefts involving city vehicles.A spate of jewelry robberies is committed by thieves using municipal vehicles to pull off heists. In the end,Ponch manages to solve the mystery despite being bed ridden.

This episode features creativity on the part of Larry Alexander, the writer of Hot Wheels. Also,it features Ponch's versatility as a CHP officer. This is a far away characterization from the bumbling officer we previously knew during the first season.
