In Fast Money, hijackers use a device to steal negotiable securities. These a gang of thieves use a van fitted with a car lifting mechanism that are claw-like devices to grab courier vehicles and steal their cargo. Also,Ponch's apartments have been bought up for he can't afford to stay, so the rest of the team that includes CHP Officer Steve McLeish, portrayed by Bruce Jenner and Jon's temporary partner, try to find a way to stop the development. Constance Forslund,Chuck McCann, Shelley Berman,Douglas Dirkson, Elliott Street and Harold Jones make guest appearances.Leslie H. Martinson directs.
The claw-like device used by the thieves could not possibly lift a van from the ground. That is why the episode feels unrealistic in the sense that the mechanism used by the criminals are too good to be true. But inspite of it,the episode manages to be watchable and entertaining with Jon and Steve acting as the main CHP characters.
