Storyline

Andrew creates a documentary called "Buffy, Slayer of the Vampyres", a record of the current situation in Sunnydale to show to future generations. He manages to capture many important moments, and to annoy almost everyone in the house. But Buffy needs to tear him away from his filmmaking because the Seal of Danzalthar is active and Andrew may hold the key to closing it before it destroys the town. Written by Alex

Trivia

The sequence with the Mutant Enemy mascot, the little monster that goes "Grr Argh" at the end of all episodes, was changed for a total of six episodes:
  • in "Becoming Part Two" (#2.22) it said, 'Oh, I need a hug."

  • in "Amends" (#3.10) it wore a Santa hat and bells were jingling.

  • in "Graduation Day Part Two" (#3.22) it wore a graduation cap.

  • in "Once More With Feeling" (#6.07) it sang its "Grr Argh."

  • in "Storyteller" (#7.16) it sang, "We are as gods."

  • in "Chosen" (#7.22) it looked out at the viewers instead of looking straight-forward.

Goofs

When Buffy approaches the shy girl who is disappearing, just after breaking up the fight, the camera shoots from over the girls shoulder. Despite the fact that she is supposed to be invisible her hair can clearly be seen at the left side of the screen. When Buffy also goes to slap the girl you can see her stop her hand a good few inches from the girls face and the slap sound has obviously been inserted afterwards. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Andrew Wells: [to camera] Oh, hello, there, gentle viewers. You caught me catching up on an old favorite. It's wonderful to get lost in a story, isn't it? Adventure and heroics and discovery: don't they just take you away? Come with me now, if you will, gentle viewers. Join me on a new voyage of the mind. A little tale I like to call: Buffy, Slayer of the Vampyrs.

The One With The Buffy Documentary...
18 May 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

Yes, you read that right, a Buffy documentary, courtesy of Andrew. I love this episode, it's just so fun to see Andrew making a documentary about Buffy and all over adventures.

In this episode, Andrew creates a very special documentary called, "Buffy, Slayer of the Vampires", which I just think is hilarious. He does this to record the current situation in Sunnydale that everyone is focusing on, the trouble with The First. He thinks it would be a good idea to have some sort of documentation to prove what Buffy did and how she saved the world. But, doing this comes with a price, it annoys the crap out of everyone.

Fun Fact: The episode was centered around Andrew as a way to make a possible Andrew spin-off, that didn't happen.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.
