Joyce is nervous and her anxiety is because she is going to date a man called Brian that she has recently met. Meanwhile, a strange and beautiful girl called April arrives in Sunnydale seeking her mysterious boyfriend Warren. Buffy and her friends are in a party, and when Spike flirts with April, she throws him through the window, and then hits Buffy.
