Trivia

This would mark the last appearance for the Cargo Sled model. It was re-dressed as the AstroSled for this story and never restored to it's original appearance so it never appeared in a new story again. See more »

Goofs

After Wilma takes the detonator from Allerik we see her studying it with Twiki and Dr. Theopolis. During the conversation it is revealed that they cannot disarm the device lest it destroy their refugee friend Jorex. They decide that it must be returned to Allerick before he awakes only Wilma doesn't say that, she says "Then I have to take it back to Jorex, before he wakes up.". See more »

Buck Rogers: "Olympiad"
19 August 2017 | by (Ohio/PA border) – See all my reviews

PLOT: Buck experiences his first taste of the 25th century version of the Olympics where humanoids from different planets face-off. He meets Lara (Judith Chapman) and assists in the defection of her lover, Jorex (Barney McFadden), from the manacles of his dictatorial planet.

COMMENTARY: Chapman is winsome as Lara and the futuristic Olympic competitions are amusing (e.g. boxing with 'laser' gloves, standing high jump assisted by steroids, and the space-toboggan that uses force-fields instead of ice). Speaking of the Olympic competitions, they feature several peripheral cuties, like the babe with tight purple shorts and a white tank top. Which reminds me: Wilma appears in her most alluring costume of the series, a two-piece orange & gold get-up with tight hot pants, not to mention a blond wig.
