Worth watching to see Kent Taylor

Mike and Bob Brannagan are private investigators located in Phoenix, Arizona. A friend of theirs, Larry Randolph is annoyed and worried that his sister Nancy has taken up with the disreputable Ray Norton. At a restaurant, Norton accuses his partner, Sorenson, of embezzling money from their business. Then Larry sees Norton with Nancy and Norton and Larry trade blows. Norton insists that Larry be arrested and Larry takes off, punching a cop on his way out. He asks the Brannagan brothers for help but his troubles have only begun for Norton has been found beaten to death. The obvious suspects include Norton's ex- girlfriend and Sorensen and his thugs. Since it's a half hour show, the investigation moves pretty rapidly. The eventually discovered motive seem pretty thin and amazingly the title of the episode is a dead giveaway. The best part of the episode was seeing Kent Taylor as the unlikable Ray Norton. Taylor's Boston Blackie's series is one of my favorite 50s shows and his against type portrayal in this show was interesting.
