Storyline

Bronco is paddling a canoe when two Sioux braves attack him from shore. He kills one but the second one waits for Bronco to surface after jumping in the river. As he resurfaces he hears a shot as the brave falls dead. A civilian on horseback has rescued Bronco. They make camp to allow Bronco to dry his clothes and rest. The man says he is a Major in the Army under special orders to retrieve a $25,000 payroll taken by Sitting Bull and the Sioux during a raid. His guide abandoned him so he asks Bronco to take over as his guide. Bronco had been trapping but lost his furs and is in need of supplies. He ultimately consents to join the Major even though he questions the Major's experience and knowledge of the Indians. The next night while camping they hear a noise which turns out to be private in the Army lost after his group was attacked while on an errand. A group of Cheyenne tell them where to find Sitting Bull. Once there, Bronco is surprised by what he hears. Written by Anonymous
