Storyline

Jason arrives in Indian Territory to listen to famous newspaper reporter, Horace Greeley, give a speech. Greeley is famous for his petition that the "red man" should be treated as equal with his white brother. But Jason stops an assassination attempt and soon find himself involved in solving the mystery of who is trying to kill the reporter. Boy, is everyone shocked when they discover just WHO was involved!

Horace Greeley was a newspaper reporter who died in 1872. He did indeed run against Grant, but died before the electoral votes were counted after his wife died. Greeley wrote against slavery and was for Indian rights.

I love the history!

Branded certainly did love playing with History! Here is just another example of an episode that uses real-life people in the story. Horace Greeley was indeed a newspaper man. Though I don't think he was exactly the personality the real Greeley was...

And in this episode, we actually see Jason McCord PUNCH a WOMAN!!! "There's a first time for everything," he says before punching her. Of course, I reckon she deserved it...quite humorous. I don't think Lucas McCain would have EVER gotten away with doing that!

Anyway, it's sad to see that the series is almost over...And I so do wish that these episodes were not cut!
