When challenged by Eric, who says he is sounding a little jealous that Topanga is showing feelings for Eric and not him, 11 year old Cory sarcastically replies that he wants to be Topanga's boyfriend and that they will name their children Chewbacca and Plankton. Cory and Topanga eventually did have children, named Riley and Auggie, in Girl Meets World (2014). See more »

Cory Matthews: That's just I want, to be Topanga's boyfriend. And then we can name our children Chewbacca and Plankton.

"We can name our children Chewbacca and Plankton"

Minkus has a big crush on Topanga Lawrence and gives her a paper rose. Cory and Shawn tease Minkus for having a crush on Topanga, but Topanga accosts them for being shallow. Eric heads to Cory's class to be a guest lecturer for high school. His speech goes down well, but he fails to incorporate many of the important things like, dangers of cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs. Topanga develops a huge crush on Eric, but Cory thinks Topanga has a crush on him. Things get rough when Eric has to let her down easy and Topanga's sister witnesses Topanga being hurt. It doesn't really matter what age you are, love and feelings are very complex to deal with. You can say all you want that "You're not in love, you're too young" but maybe, they really feel they are in love. I felt this episode did a wonderful job at taking a look at issues like premature love and growing up, evading any pretentiousness. Seeing Topanga have a crush on Eric was a bit surreal, but very engaging to watch. I've not seen many of the later episodes, but everyone knows Topanga and Cory get together. Ironically enough, they have children as well. Ben Savage had some great lines and Eric's monologue to Topanga was very well done. My only complaints are that the parents don't have much to do, other than a key couple of scenes. Also, I dislike how everybody includes alcohol into big health dangers such as cigs and drugs. Alcohol can be very deadly to your health and hurt those around you, but only if you abuse it.

Note. The girl who Shawn and Cory fawn over at the end of this episode would appear in one more episode
