Insisting on his innocence
31 March 2016 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Michael Witney plays an amiable but deadly killer in this Bonanza story. The plot has Michael Landon assisting an injured sheriff take Witney into town for trial. Of course all the time Witney is insisting his innocence to the Cartwrights.

It's soon enough that Witney shows his true colors, finishing off the sheriff and escaping with among other things his badge, and the horses and guns for the sheriff and Little Joe.

Where Witney heads and Landon follows is a cabin where a young Mexican girl and her younger brother are down with fever. When Landon shows up it's a question of whom they believe.

This episode belongs to Landon and Witney the confrontation scenes do crackle.
