It's clear Gunsmoke is a more popular show than Bonanza. I've never seen an unreviewed Gunsmoke episode. I've seen plenty of Bonanza episodes in need of criticism. This episode fits in well in Season 7. Maybe too well. It bears resemblance to "Ballad of Ponderosa." It's not a bad thing since this improves on the story of a vengeful son after has dad is hung. The action is superb. It's a movie where you find yourself rewinding the DVR to see what happened in a fight scene. The Cartwrights are always available to give guidance. It's a good look at the limits a person can go to help friends or family . Some promises are best unkept.
