Joe lands into a town where a strike brings short tempers
21 August 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Joe and Candy stop for medical assistance for Candy's hand in the town of Angelus. They come into a town where tempers are short as there is a strike at the mine. But when they see an old friend, Steve Regan a miner, they ask him if he can come help out by helping them get a herd to the Ponderosa. But when Steve mounts a horse, it throws him. Steve is dead before they get out-of-town. Now Joe has to tell the young widow that her husband is dead.

In the town Joe is not a favorite of either the mine manger or the striking miners. It seems to management that Joe is asking to many questions about the mine's safety. While the miners believe that Joe was sent by his father, Ben Cartwright, since Ben owns stock in the mine. Joe just can't catch a break.

With the miners wanting to dynamite the mine- and the manager wanting to keep Joe out of the mine, something has to give. Everyone is a little guilty in this dangerous tale.

Overall this episode played out just as expected. It was management versus the workers so without giving a spoiler alert you can figure how this is going to end. But with that said, it was still interesting enough to hold the viewer's attention the entire time. Thus making this a good watch.
