Good war drama effort

Robert Young shines bright here in this tale of an old timer, an admiral who just lost his wife, dead after a disease - cancer? - and who have to give some explanation to his son about his guilt to the deceased. He was always absent because of this important job. It takes place during WW2, on an aircraft carrier, and we assist here as a face to face between the father and his son, a good psychological study during which the both of them will learn to accept themselves as they really are. Reminds me some John Ford's movies, war features; such as MISTER ROBERTS, WINGS OF THE EAGLE. Good piece of work. That's a real pleasure to watch all those épisodes from this TV series drama. Such so good and many surprises.
