Tremendous early Sidney Pollack's work.
searchanddestroy-117 June 2015
I am very pleased to have watched this early TV episode made by Sidney Pollack, who was most known for his big screen contribution. I won't repeat the topic already told above. I guess it is based from actual events, and this jazz woman really existed. Anyway, it could have been a 100 minutes feature. Why only make it in a episode, even with a quality as this very one?

Piper Laurie is far better here than she was in her early films starring Tony Curtis for Universal Pictures. We have seen dozens of film speaking of famous singers, actors or artists of all kind; so why not this one? Or maybe is it pure fiction? But I don't think so.

Worth a look.
