A colourful crime drama

The typical kind of crime film scheme from the mid sixties. A detective is hired by a wealthy old woman who asks him to help her daughter to find her disappeared husband. From the start, I thought of Jack Smight's HARPER, same atmosphere and also the same delicious Lauren Bacall's presence for the two stories. As for most of detectives stories whenever the periods where they take place, the Inside schemes, in details, are not so important. Sometimes, no one can exactly say who is guilty, why or how...Only the characters and the atmosphere, music score and settings does matter. We also have here Zsa Zsa Gabor as a female little plane pilot and also Fay Wray as a cameo.

A delightful little time waster. Directed by the TV specialist Robert Stevens.
