Experienced agents like Jaime and Harry would know to disarm the unconscious soldier and either destroy his weapons or at least throw them far away from him, where he could not find them when he finally came to. But by their simply walking away from the knocked-out guard, while leaving the AK-47 and pistol just lying on the ground within the merc's easy reach, they were risking his being able to retrieve the weapons and use them to fight Jaime and Harry some more.
