The Sweet Smell of Failure
Prismark1018 February 2021
When Johnny Bloomfield pleads guilty to selling some stolen perfume in the Magistrates Court.

Galloway smells something is off. Bloomfield pleaded guilty to theft rather than have the police sniffing about if the perfume was counterfeit.

Bloomfield tips them off about an old couple being up to no good.

Only for Carver and Ackland in plain clothes following a very elderly couple who have been stealing stuff as far back as World War 2. They are also Johnny's relatives.

There are some nice scenes of the London docklands just before they were starting to get redeveloped in the late 1980s.

Of course there was only going to be one person making low grade perfume so the ultimate culprit was not a surprise.
