Fantastic finale to vast villain - Kent goes over the edge

Warning: Spoilers
Although I haven't seen much of actor Todd Carty in EastEnders as Martin Fowler's brother Mark prior to The Bill, yet there's no doubt I prefer his performance in this episode of police drama show.

After Laura has tipped her off about what her current fiancé, Sheelagh rummaged through PC Kent's possessions only to find identification of the real Gabriel Kent. Unfortunately, after finding more of his deep secrets, he leaves her as a victim: only tied up and gagged in a bedroom.

Bigshot Smithers isn't happy of what Laura told Sheelagh so June Ackland (who PC Kent really hates) offers to babysit and keep watch of him. Whilst they're at the hospital and trying to make his brother's ward empty of hospital staff, David cleverly sets off the fire alarm before silencing him for good by removing the life support and suffocates with a pillow until it flatlines. I'd expect he'd say something as his last words to his brother. Unbeknownst to PC Kent, Gabriel is then revived a little later at last few seconds.

My favourite scene of all is near the end at the tower block when Kent sees the uniformed lot arrive and the net is closing in on him, before he drags June up to the rooftop where the fantastic finale scene happens - when he verbally and physically attacks her: blaming her for ruining his life. Kent confesses many dark secrets, even what Kerry Young and Andrea Dunbar knew about him before their deaths. Kent admits killing the sniper wasn't an accident and was conspiring with him. And Andrea (as she was an undercover journalist) solved it and Kent had no choice but to leave her to perish in the fire Colin Fairfax caused. I don't think June knew Kent was nearly killed by sniper when he saved John Kirkby (one who survived, yet bullet in back and condemned rest his life in a wheelchair) as not mentioned when David mentioned sniper's victims were unstoppable and criminals. And Kerry - who David realised it was June who told her about his true identity and get him kicked out of the police force. I guess Kent admits to raping Kerry (how she got pregnant with his child) yet no mention Kent was the one who murdered Kerry (and not the sniper - he confessed that to Andrea).

Prying Smithers having a fuse of what he overhears, and the two policemen fight, even Kent's classic quote: "Is that all you got, soldier boy?"
