Trivia

When June and Jim are reminiscing about their time at Sun Hill together, they mention "Taffy Morgan". Colin Blumenau played PC Francis 'Taffy' Morgan in the pilot episode Storyboard: Woodentop (1983), but when The Bill (1984) was picked up his character's surname was changed to Edwards. He appeared in the series for six years between 1984 and 1990. He was most likely referred to as "Taffy Morgan" (rather than "Taffy Edwards") to avoid confusing viewers of the pilot episode, which was being shown straight after this episode on digital channel ITV2.
