Storyline

With Darrin and Endora constantly needling each other, more often than not initiated by Endora in her just being disagreeable, Samantha secretly suggests to Darrin that she retrieve an old magical amulet from her father, that amulet which has the power to make Endora always agreeable and kind to the holder of the amulet. Samantha knows that her suggestion has dangerous consequences if Endora ever finds out as Endora will know that she is doing something that is against her nature, but won't know why. Regardless, Darrin declines. However, he changes his mind after his and Endora's latest confrontation, which for him is the last straw. In retrieving and giving the amulet to Darrin, Samantha reminds him that he has to carry the amulet with him at all times, and he can't use the power of the amulet frivolously. Goofs

When Larry Tate and Augustus Sunshine "feel a sudden compulsion to go back to the Stephens' house" they are just driving by 4 parked cars on their right which (in order) are brown, dark red, white and blue. The cars can still be seen as Larry commences his "U-turn" from the most central of the two lanes on the road their using. Immediately after, mid-turn, a wider shot shows Larry's car turning from within the lane next to the curb and only 2 parked cars are slightly behind them, being a red car with a white roof and a white car (with some space between them). The scene has also moved from road with a white building on the right of Larry's car to road with 2 large trees where the building should be. See more »

Awesome episode

I found this episode positively enchanting. During the run of the episodes, as Durwood refuses to be civil to Endora, she retaliates frequently, and violently and in this particular episode, Samantha suggests that Darrin could carry an amulet that would make Endora treat him as sweetly as possible. of course he refuses at first, but then he later decides he had better use it. So he does. and Endora becomes a grovelling puppy dog at his feet. While I hate Darwin and I always adore when Endora sticks it to him in some way or other, this was great too because it's such a drastic change. she even refers to him by his real name. Then when he gets caught without the amulet, it's hilarious. This amulet belongs to Samantha's father and he uses it on Endora when she is making life tough for him. I just pondered how when Maurice enters a room, people seem to play up to him like he's someone great. And I don't find him that impressive. Especially Endora, oftentimes will gaze upon him as if he were something really special. Now I can't be sure, but it occurs to me that maybe all this time when she acted so sweetly to Maurice, she was under the influence of that amulet...
