Samantha Stephens: But the way things look now aren't the way things looked then, and the way things look now may not be the way things will look soon, because sometimes things don't always look like what they look like!
Larry Tate: Samantha, that was a brave attempt to take Darrin off the hook. It has no logic, but it was a brave attempt.

Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart
22 December 2013 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Serena Stops the Show" features one of the last appearances of hit singing-songwriting duo Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, as Serena wants them to perform her song at the 'Cosmos Cotillion,' grinding their careers to a halt so they can't refuse. The track in question is their own composition, "I'm Gonna Blow You a Kiss in the Wind," an unsuccessful single issued in Sept 1969, five months before this telecast. In their first scene, we also enjoy a brief snippet of their biggest hit, "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonite." Elizabeth Montgomery may have enjoyed hamming it up as Serena, but it's a real chore watching her (though she too gets to perform the song).
