After seeing how happy Samantha is in her marriage, especially in how she misses Darrin when he's away, Serena decides that she too wants to marry a mortal. Serena, in not knowing how to go about meeting a mortal, takes one of Samantha's many suggestions: a computer matchmaking service. The service finds one perfect match for Serena, a suave, debonair man named Franklyn Blodgett. It is love at first sight for both Serena and Franklyn, and they both want to pursue the relationship. But what may on the surface seem like the perfect match hides a fundamental potential deal breaker for both Serena and Franklyn, but one that highlights why the computer at the matchmaker service found the two to be so compatible.
