During this Christmas season, Samantha and Darrin reminisce about last Christmas in light of Samantha's pregnancy and receiving a Christmas card from the guest they hosted last year. The story... The local orphanage has a program where families in the neighborhood take home one of residents for the Christmas holidays. Samantha and Darrin are assigned Michael, who is seen as a problem child because of his cynicism about life, which is not helped by Christmas, a holiday in which he doesn't believe. He tries to convince the other children that Santa Claus is not real. His outlook has even prevented him from being adopted, which he would have been otherwise. Purely because Michael is considered a problem, Samantha is even more convinced that they should take Michael home and try and make his Christmas a merry one. But all the typical ploys that parents use on their children to make Christmas merry do not work on Michael, who is as sullen as ever by bedtime on Christmas Eve. So Samantha ... Written by Huggo
