Steve tries to secure the R&B group "Jade" for a Valentines Day telethon at the Peach Pit After Dark. Meanwhile, Brandon coaxes Kelly away from Professor Finley and his work at his newly opened commune, but only for the moment. After moving out of the Walshes and into a hotel suite, using some of Dylan's money, Valerie comes onto Ray who's having problems with Donna and pressures him into an affair. Ray's mother, LuAnn, figures out that Ray cheated on Donna when he doesn't come home after that night, and covers for him when Donna comes calling asking of Ray's whereabouts. Also, Andrea with Jesse meets Peter and his wife, but that doesn't disrupt their feelings for each other. Written by Anonymous

Nat Bussichio: Things a little rocky with you and Kelly?
Brandon Walsh: Everything's gotten weird ever since she signed up with Professor Finley and his so-called 'Institute for the New Evolution'.
Nat Bussichio: Ugh! I hate that cult stuff!
Brandon Walsh: It's not a cult, Nat. It's just a renegade psych teacher without a college.
Nat Bussichio: [sarcastic] Oh, that's a relief.
Brandon Walsh: Now that you mention it, it just might as well be a cult the way he keeps trying to change her personality and all the dozen or more ex-students from C.U. into his followers.
Nat Bussichio: Don't let that ...

Beverly Hills 90210/You Gotta Have Heart - 8/2/1995
21 February 2009 | by See all my reviews

Finley pushes Kelly to end her relationship with Brandon, but she cannot go through with it. She later dumps him during a confrontation at Finley's new headquarters, and Brandon reluctantly turns to Dylan for help. Valerie uses her new windfall to move out of the Walsh house and into a luxurious hotel. She ignores Dylan's warnings about the loneliness associated with life at a hotel. Donna goes to bed with Ray but then cuts things off, leaving him very frustrated. Val pops the lighter in Ray's truck, draining the battery so that he has to seek a ride. She lures him back to her hotel room. Andrea becomes uncomfortable when she and Jesse run into Peter and his wife at the movies. Everyone pitches in as the After Dark hosts a telethon for pediatric heart patients. Steve struggles to fulfill his promise to get the female vocal group Jade for the event.

This was bit of a strange episode the fact is Steve Sanders was originally trying to get a local group for the charity event but they could not make so Steve with his numerous contacts manage to get hold of Jade who had a huge success with their song Every Day Of The Week early 1995 - one of my favourite songs as well - performed at the event instead. I know the story was a litte unbelievable but it is only television, plus I wish Jade did sang live instead of pre-recording.
