Storyline

Kelly strongly protests Brandon's research on a sex shop selling pornography and other adult material, as well as his participation with Steve in a bachelor party for Steve's former college fraternity brother Muntz, while Kelly also has strong concerns of her mother Jackie, and her half-sister Erin over Jackie's decision for most plastic surgery for herself. David also buys some things from the sex shop to revamp his sluggish sex life with Valerie. Meanwhile, Donna learns that Monica, a new assistant of her designs, has a psychological problem of self-mutilation and tries to get her to listen to her. Written by matt-282

Quotes

Kelly Taylor: [At the Beach house about Donna's assistant] Sounds like this thing called cutting.
Noah Hunter: What's that?
Kelly Taylor: It's a disorder where people actually cut themselves. We have a pamphlet on it at the clinic. I read about it in the New York Times.
Donna Martin: People cut themselves, that's horrible.
Noah Hunter: Is she suicidal?
Kelly Taylor: Probably not, cutters are self loathing. By doing this they can control the pain they experience.

Skin Deep (#8.28)

So this episode is about sex shop and such. Surprised that it was supposed to be such a controversial place in 1998. Kelly is also being a bit too stiff about it, although at the end her and Brandon find a way to still enjoy it.

Valerie and David make me laugh. I love them as a couple and they are also very entertaining. There is so much chemistry between them!.

Steve's story now also made me laugh. How he was hitting on Janet after he found her attitude towards sex. And I am not sure why he was not into her before, it is not like she is bad looking. she is actually very hot.
