Storyline

Dylan's estranged mother, Iris, returns to Los Angles which resurrects old family hostilities for she doesn't trust Jack with handling Dylan's trust fund, as does Jim. Brandon continues gambling and splurges his winnings on skis and a new car stereo. Meanwhile, David and Steve meet with the eccentric Icon Records Company president Curtis Bray, who tells David that he will give him a recording deal only if he fires his personal manager Steve. Brenda spends the entire weekend in her bedroom moping about her lost relationship with Dylan, while dreaming evil dreams on doing physical harm to Kelly whom she unfairly blames for her and Dylan's breakup. Also, Andrea goes to a luncheon for Yale acceptances where meets her old friend Jordan Bonner. Written by Anonymous

Quotes

David Silver: Steve, I'm going to tell him yes.
Steve Sanders: [enraged tone] You're gonna tell him what? I hooked you up with this guy!
David Silver: I don't have any another choice.
Steve Sanders: Yes, you do!
David Silver: If I say no to Curtis Bray, he woun't give me any record deal. Worse still, he will not speak highly of me or recommend me to any other record producer.
Steve Sanders: So?
David Silver: SO? So, what good is it going to do any one of us if I get nowhere?
Steve Sanders: When I was shelling out bribes at the Beverly Hills Beach Club this summer just so you could get your first gig, that's ...

Parental Guidance Recommended (#3.20)

So Dylan's dad is trying to get his trust fund while Iris is trying to prevent it. The story is interesting. I just don't like they went for such an obvious way to make the father whom everyone dislikes the bad guy. And the good parent is some airhead who wants to open a school that teaches spirituality and believes into horoscopes...

And the fact that she doesn't like Kelly and prefers Brenda makes me a bit worried. If she is the one who is right they might use it to separate Dylan and Kelly.

The story about David I don't like too much. I really don't think it should be some way to push morality on viewers here. He absolutely should sign and in life friends would support it. It is not like Steve is a professional manager or that he even got into it just thinking of helping David.
