series lack of continuity
12 September 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I have recently been watching this show streaming on CBS.com. I really enjoy it, but I also think it is very strange how each episode is completely individual with absolutely no plot spilling into the next one. The biggest example so far that I have seen is the transition from this episode to the next one. In this episode, Brenda and Brandon are unable to take their SATs. However, in the next episode, all of the students receive their SAT score INCLUDING Brenda and Brandon. It is so strange. It is as if the writers and directors said "no one will notice" when someone pointed out the issue. Also, I think it is strange that Brandon has an endless number of romantic flings and when they end, they always vow to still be friends and keep in touch, yet we never see these girls beyond one episode. I just have a few issues with the show, but overall I think that it is great.
