Storyline

Brandon, now the new student body president of CU, has his first challenge when he is pressed into action by some human-rights activist students who are against the chancellor's friend Quintaro, a visiting Asian dignitary from a fictitious South-East Asian country of Selanesia, who is accused of human-rights violations which puts Brandon at odds with both Clare and Chancellor Arnold. Meanwhile, Valerie helps Steve, Kelly, and fellow KEG members Griffin and Muntz, plan the theft of a rival college's mascot, a huge stuffed bear, during homecoming weekend. Donna skips the caper to spend some time with Ray at his family's pumpkin stand. Also, Andrea is depressed when Jesse is spending more time studying and bar tending than being with her. Andrea then meets a mysterious guy, named Peter, at her local laundromat. Elsewhere, Dylan forces Valerie to keep his financial situation a secret. But when Valerie later walks in on Dylan cheating on her with a local prostitute, she vows revenge. Written by Anonymous

Homecoming (#5.6)
29 November 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I first thought this story about the president of Selenisia would be pretty bad. Just like in the story about the animal rights the activists will be the bad guys and the president will be innocent because friends say so. But it ended up being a great story where they show the complexity of life and politics. The president may be a nice guy but he did indeed do torture. But at the same time it brings the question if this is the right price to pay when fighting for the democracy of the country. Very deep, I liked it especially for this kind of show where I would not expect complicated scenarios.

And while I still can't wait for Donna to be back with David I do like Ray. Especially when he brought her to see those adorable little goats.

Also some drama between Dylan and Valerie now. Hope she does something about it.
