Storyline

Steve begins an internship at a talent agency and later tries to comfort his discouraged supervisor, Tammy Kane, after she is dismissed from the agency. Donna covers for the new Rose Queen, Lisa, at her convenience-store job in South-Central L.A. and feels sympathy for a ghetto boy she catches shoplifting. Donna forces Joe to drive her over to the boy's house and learns that the boy, Isaiah, and his two siblings are not supervised at home. Meanwhile, Susan learns more about Brandon when his addiction to gambling resurfaces during a casino-night fund raiser at the After Dark. Also, Valerie and Kelly vie with each other to buy a portrait to pose for Colin. Written by matt-282

Fortunate Son (#6.14)
24 December 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Like in the time before Christmas is a common thing this episode has a lot to do with helping others. Now it is Donna that catches a boy shoplifting and goes to his place to see that he takes care of his siblings when mother is at home. Well the good thing is that this story ends up well.

Brandon still can't get a god story. He just had a "gambling relapse" in this one. It is amazing how they are all addicts. I hope he soon will have a good story. For whom I miss the old seasons, it's Brandon.

But at least we see a bit more of David now than back then, although still not enough. I wish he had a bigger story. But him and Valerie are cute. It is sweet how she both was trying to get a present for him and also made Kelly mad. She has talent.

I actually looked up Lar Park-Lincoln who played Tammy. Surprised she didn't have more credits. She was pretty good. Maybe she did more theater.
