Storyline

Brandon runs for vice president along side Josh and does great when he steps in and gives a speech in Josh's place. Their campaign is threatened, however, when Alex Diaz, their opponents campaign manager, uncovers the unpublished article that Josh wrote about Brandon the previous year, which details Brandon's tutoring of D'Shawn and ledges allegations of him taking tests for D'shawn. Donna asks Claire (now attending C.U. as a sophomore) to move into the beach apartment in David's place, but Clare brings a bad snoring habit with her. Meanwhile, Valerie secretly decides to pursue Dylan after finding Brenda's mementos of him in the Walsh's garage and hides her connection to the Walshes from him. Written by Anonymous

A Clean Slate (#5.3)
29 November 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Clare moves even closer with the main characters now that she becomes a roommate with Donna and Kelly. And they manage to make it in a fun way by having her have a pretty bug snoring problem.

Valerie hooking up with Dylan also seems like a great idea. I like how she is, definitely material for fun and interesting stories.

The main part of the episode was the election in the university. It was just a small detail, but I liked how Andrea felt that people cared about her opinion less now that they saw her as a mom. The whole scandal was also a good twist, although it got solved way too simply.

But the ending was definitely well done. It was sure unexpected, just like death usually is. Josh was not one of the main characters but he sure played an important part. I am actually curious of what happened with Joshua Beckett who played this part as he hasn't done anything listed on IMDb since 1997.
