Drysdale, at first irate that beautiful actress Bergstrom is kept on an expensive stipend without making a film, is smitten at first sight and so places the actress in the Clampett home to learn backwoods accents and ways for a movie.

When a Swedish actress whose under contract at the studio hasn't done any work because there's no role for someone who is Swedish so Drysdale decides to send her back to Sweden till he meets her when Chapman brings her to him. There's a role that requires her to speak as a backs woods character. So Miss Hathaway suggests they let her stay with the Clampetts so that she can pick it up.
