Trivia

The title refers to the fact that by the time this episode aired, the Flatt and Scruggs version of the instrumental bluegrass classic "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" had become very popular due to its inclusion on the soundtrack of the recently released hit film Bonnie and Clyde (1967). The duo perform it in this episode, as well as two alternate versions of the series' theme song, "The Ballad of Jed Clampett," each with different lyrics. Joi Lansing, who portrays Scruggs' blond bombshell wife Gladys, also performs a vocal selection, backed by the duo. See more »
