Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie
Prismark1011 April 2019
Wlliam Hootkins is a dodgy American businessman Eugene Field. He is gathering top men in Jersey to organise a coup of sorts abroad.

One of his associates Towers (Roj Blake) is looking to charter an old wreck from Charlie Hungerford. Donald Early a journalist returning to Jersey recognises Towers from the Sealink ferry as it is about to dock.

Early causes problems for Charlie just as he has kicked off an election campaign.

When Early ends up dead. Charlie is a suspect and Bergerac gets a lead. Apparently Bergerac finds out that Jersey Immigration takes photographs of all new arrivals stepping off a plane in Jersey. A fact that has passed him by in all these years. A new arrival is a bad tempered Dutchman with a long knife.

This really could had been a good episode but it all ends up as a damp squib. Poor actress Ling Tai. She shot most of her scenes in a bikini when it is clear it was freezing.
