Approximately two-thirds of the way through the chase scene where Johnny is trying to outrun 2 motorcycles in the Stutz Bearcat, the right front tire comes loose from the rim after a hard left turn which would in reality would cause a flat tire and slow Johnny down immensely. However, in the next shot the Stutz is shown again with no tire trouble and the chase continues.
Near the end of the chase with the two motorcycles several modern buildings can be seen in the distance. This is because the location was in the hills of Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
Obvious stuntman driving the Stutz during the chase scene. This becomes especially obvious when the Stutz stops to the side of the road during the chase, and the stuntman reaches with his right hand to his right hip to pull a handgun. When the lead motorcycle appears the stuntman fires the handgun at the motorcycle with his right hand. Dennis Cole was left-handed. Thus his character, Johnny Reach always carried his handgun on his left hip, and held and fired a handgun with his left hand.
