The music accompanying the end of D'anna Biers documentary video on the Galactica in episode #2.8 "Final Cut", which starts with a janitor whistling the tune and ends in a triumphant fanfare, is the theme song from the original "Battlestar Galactica" (1978). It was last heard during a Viper air show ceremony in the new series' pilot miniseries; within the new series' storyline, the old theme song is the national anthem of sorts for the Colonials.
