Storyline

The Joker is making trouble in Gotham City. First, Joker manages to sneak into the notorious Arkham Asylum. Then, the super-villain releases all the patients from one wing of the facility. When Batman arrives on the scene, patients are wandering the streets of Gotham in a daze, and the bridge to the facility has been destroyed. Joker and Batman battle, but the villain escapes. Later, Joker flies a balloon full of poisonous gas over Gotham. Joker threatens to pop the balloon over the city, and Batman tries to stop him. Written by Ken Miller <wkmiller704@yahoo.com>

In case you're wondering why I decided to close out the Bat-a-thon with this series as opposed to "Batman Beyond", it's because I'm less familiar with this series. And I might be new to this show, but I like what I see so far. There's good animation, good writing, and good character designs, especially Joker. Now that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill aren't providing the voices of Bruce and Joker anymore, it's great to see guys like Romano and Richardson take the characters into their own hands. I'm sure this series will have some great episodes to it, but you've gotta start somewhere, and so far this show's on the right foot.
