Homage to Fleisher's Superman
30 October 2006 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

This had to be one of the best episodes I've seen from Batman Animated. The look was incredible. It reminded me of the very expensive cartoons of Superman produced by the Fleisher brothers. The story was terrifying to the point that I'm wondering who exactly is the target audience for Batman the Animated Series. This is much too advanced an episode for most kids - it reflects the dangers of cybernetics and artificial intelligence. Asimov would've been proud.

Barbara Gordon makes her debut in this two part episode. She's high spirited and definitely pointed in the direction of being Batgirl one day.

All the characters were believable in this episode. This would've made a great movie.
