Probably second best in series
A_Different_Drummer6 September 2013
If you dig around you will find that the Harley Quinn character is by a wide margin the single most popular "bad guy" in the series, astonishingly popular with with boys and girls. And with good reason. There is something irresistibly charming about Harley that resonates, no matter what mischief she is up to. Did not get the background notes on this episode but clearly the producers and writers wanted to give Harley an episode of her own, and this is the closest they could come. The animation is superb. The one and only Arleen Sorkin does the voice (essentially, a voice she invented, without realizing it). A treasure. Even Bob Kane, the creator of B-Man, is on hand, making it one of the few stories he participated in before his death a few years later.

A beautiful look at someone trying to rehabilitate and heroes believing in that person

This is one of the best. It really makes you care for Harley and seeing Batman caring for her despite everything is so wholesome. Especially at the end when he gaves her back the dress that she paid. " I had a bad day once too". This Is why Batman is my hero

Harley's After Hours
hellraiser721 October 2017
This episode another in the honorable mention list of mine. For fans of Harley Quinn this episode is a real treat as it's the first stand alone episode featuring her and in a way predates the stand alone comic book series she had years latter.

It's basically Batman doing "After Hours" just like in that film it's focused on one individual trying to make it though one crazy night. Just like Harley whom is going out for the day, trying to reintegrate into society. I really like in the first minutes when she's out of makeup and we see her shopping around but she on roller skates with 50's get up on and she walking her pet hyenas both factors considered unsafe. But that's just Harley being herself, to her doing things like make sense to her and make her feel good; which is really what being a person is about.

What I really like about this episode is in a way it's a bit of a commentary on our perception of normal, Gotham/modern society itself, and even how hard it really is to walk the straight and narrow. Harley we see really is trying to do the right thing but so much craziness is happening around her that's it's driving her to do some for once unintentional shenanigans, what happens to her is bad/dumb luck or even a combo of both; craziest thing it's not even Friday the 13th (or not that I know of).

And most of what happens in this episode truly is crazy, I won't reveal it all it's something you have to see to believe but I'll just say one of the things it involves is a tank; when I saw that I thought wow! At that point I don't know if Harley is crazy or the world around her is; yeah Harley I know how you feel.

A lot can happen in one day for one person.

How to explain Harley in just words?

Warning: Spoilers
The answer is: YOU CAN'T!

Iv'e watched this episode today, and TRULY I have been in love With this this character for a whole lot of time. Actually, she is MY:

BEST FEMALE ASSOCIATED CHARACTER OF ALL TIME!

First, I didn't Actually understand, WHO she really was... Now, after have been watching all The episodes With her in The series I see it.

SHE'S NOT JUST A GIRL/ OR A WOMAN. The point is, you Will never REALLY know her.

...Wow, I understand, If you don't get my opinion, or reasons for my love to her.

IT'S MAD LOVE, HEY! All those times we're watched her in The show... Look, She's never usual every time, I mean NOT alike "Does The same" so we never really know, what's going to happen The NEXT time we see her.

"HARLEY QUINN IS A MYSTERY FULL OF SURPRICES, Fellas" She changes her mind faster than The speed of light! Isn't that a bit of a "Crazy Mad Mystery"?

Buddy, we can do this! You know, it's not supposed to be good or bad The things you do. The only thing you Can say is bad or good is what YOU choose is.

All of this, is what a character like Harley Quinn is The Best example of, (In my opinion)! Take all The times we're been watching her, how she was in The past. But most of all, you should never forget:

How is your favorite character Right Now? You Will Always remember The best times you ever had With it, and keeping Them in your memory. The most important thing is: Do, what you Can do NOW! The chance is right in front right at this moment. YOU CAN DO IT, PAL!

YEARH, Well. That's what I wanted to get out in this review. Not that I'm like "THE SOURCE TO THE WORLD" but everybody has their opinions, at least.

...This was my opinion about my journey With MY favourite villain character of all time:

Harley...

QUINN!

H a r l e y Q u i n n,

HARLEY QUINN!

Harley Quinn.

"For the first time today, I think things are finally lookin' up!"
Foreverisacastironmess12330 September 2018
Released from Arkham on good behaviour, Harley wants to start afresh, but thanks to a tiny mix up while she's out shopping with her two pet hyenas that she seems pretty merrily oblivious are terrifying everybody in sight, her chance at doing good in her life crumbles and she's forced to fall back on her old habits. What starts off as an innocent misunderstanding spectacularly snowballs into complete chaos, as Harley commits grand theft auto, kidnapping, vandalism, and various other crimes as she flees both the police and Batman, as well as a vengeful mobster who is hot on her trail and driving a freaking tank, and she has no intention of going down easy! While it's an episode that is fairly lighthearted and has a lot of comedy, it also genuinely makes us sympathise with Harley as she does put in a real effort to try and get her life back on track, but only digs herself deeper and deeper into trouble at every turn. At the end, as he knows the truth of what started Harley's holiday turned disaster, even Batman empathises with Harley which earns him a big smooch from the Joker's girl! This is a very good episode, I think it's one of the best villain reforming stories, and manages to give Harley Quinn a little more depth as a character, and I love how she and Batman have a good unlikely chemistry together, a chemistry that worked just as well in 2017's excellent Batman and Harley Quinn DC movie! So in closing, if you feel like you're having a pretty bad day, I recommend you cheer yourself up by checking out this fine old gem of an episode! Still great characterisation and terrific fun. X
