'Fire from Olympus' is one of the series' surprising gems. There were vague memories from back in the '90s, but I'd thought for sure the premise - a shipping magnate having snapped, believes he's Zeus and takes aim at Gotham - would prove beyond silly to adult eyes.
But it isn't, and I think that's mainly because the characters around "Zeus" acknowledge that this is absolutely nuts. And it's informed by Greek mythology, which has always interested me and fits very well in a comic book show. This is Batman at his most resourceful, negotiating one deathtrap after another. It does take me back to being a kid because the guy's just as cool as they come.
Far from being a groaner, it's funny, looks great and just simply works.
