This Catwoman Is Pretty Tame, 26 January 2008

This is one of the few episodes that has very little action and
suspense.....but still holds your interest.
It's the second one in this DVD series to feature Selina Kyle, alias
"Catwomen." I guess I don't know my Batman history because I always
thought she was one of the many wild villains Batman always faces. Yet,
so far in these two animated TV shows - particularly this episode - she
is anything but another foe of Batman. They work together and, in fact,
he (Bruce Wayne) has a crush on her, but she only has eyes for Batman,
not Bruce.
Anyway, the episode is basically a save-the-animals story in which a
familiar villain, "Roland Daggart," is using the city's stray dogs and
cats to carry a toxin with the intent of terrorizing Gotham city.
Selina, trying to find her missing cat, runs into Daggart's dastardly
disciples and - with Batman's help - tries to stop them.
In all, not as intense an episode as normal. It's not boring, but it's
a little too tame. It's as if this Catwoman has been de-clawed.

We usually see Batman as a superhero who fights criminals. But here,
its a little different. Here we see him trying to avoid fight with a
mad dog. Sean Catherine Derek did a terrific job in writing a different
story. In this episode, we clearly see feelings of Batman.
He is worried about Selena, because of her increasing fever. He tries
to save her by avoiding the fight with mad dog, because time is running
out. He runs and runs to the place where Selena is. We see Batman
fighting in many other episodes. But he tries to avoid, because he is
worried about Selena. This episode shows that he isn't just a superhero
but also a very compassionate human being even in difficult situations.
Akom did the Animation for this episode. It was good. But not great.
Producers should have sent this episode to studio like Spectrum or
Studio Junio. Spectrum did brilliant animation for episodes like Heart
of Ice, Robin's Reckoning Part 1, Beware the Gray Ghost, and other
episodes. Studio Junio did animation for episodes like A Bullet for
Bullock, Avatar, and Mudslide. Still, its a great episode to watch.
